Focus of the Journal

The International Journal of Advanced Research in Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering (IJoARWRHE) aims to provide a platform for the dissemination of cutting-edge research and advancements in the fields of water resources management and hydraulic engineering. The journal welcomes original research articles, review papers, technical notes, and case studies addressing various aspects of water resources, hydrology, hydraulic structures, and related interdisciplinary areas.

Scope of the Journal

The scope of the journal encompasses, but is not limited to, the following key areas:

  • Water Resources Management: Papers focusing on the sustainable management, utilization, and conservation of water resources in different geographical regions, including but not limited to surface water, groundwater, and integrated water resources management approaches, surface storage and evaporation
  • Hydrology: Contributions related to hydrological processes, modeling, and analysis, such as rainfall-runoff modeling, hydrological forecasting, groundwater modeling, and water quality assessment, geohydrology, hydroelectric-power development,
  • Hydraulic Engineering: Research covering the design, analysis, and optimization of hydraulic structures and systems, including dams, levees, channels, irrigation systems, flood control measures, and coastal engineering, dams and breakwaters management, computational hydraulics, river engineering, drainage engineer, hydrostatics, hydrologic frequency analysis, flow measurement, hydraulic machines, irrigation engineering
  • Climate Change and Water Security: Investigations into the impacts of climate change on water resources, adaptation strategies, resilience building, and enhancing water security in the face of changing environmental conditions.
  • Water Policy and Governance: Studies examining policies, regulations, institutional frameworks, and governance structures related to water management at local, regional, national, and international levels.
  • Water Quality and Pollution Control: Articles addressing water quality monitoring, pollution prevention, and remediation techniques to safeguard water resources and ecosystems from contamination and degradation.
  • Emerging Technologies and Innovations: Exploration of innovative technologies, methodologies, and tools for enhancing water resources assessment, management, and infrastructure development, such as remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and artificial intelligence applications.
